The cap design increases the weight of the APS drum by approximately 60 lbs compared to OEM resulting in greater momentum of the drum. Tools are boronized for longer wear compared to standard steel. Boronizing, is a thermo-chemical hardening process usedto improve the life and performance of metal components to strengthen resistance to corrosion and abrasive wear.,

Sunnybrook concaves are tough as nails and quick to change out when they do catch a rock or two. I wouldn’t waste combining time using a factory concave unless I really had to.
